Pre-As really came and went away quickly. Finished my Pre-As on Monday, with maths paper 2 and physics paper 3.
There was a post-mortem for chemistry right after our physics Paper 3. There was just a brief one and a half hour break in between.
Right now, they have just completed the Maths post-mortem for our pre-As, and things do look a little better, slightly more optimistic.
Everyday after a paper or just feeling a little stressed, there is now a new standard protocol to relax:
Watching tvb dramas again now and i’m loving the dramas! So nice only. Well, they do help me relax quite a fair bit.
I watched a series during prelims and my results turned out okay! So i think that there is a need to relax my mind before entering the exam hall.
Graduation’s this friday… damn fast only

I am extremely disappointed as i went back to my secondary school to help my sis in her pursuit for O levels.
This is disgustingly true, but they have replace a particular head of department with… it…
Mrs Rojak(Not her, the thing’s, real name) took the position last year, and worked with me for my speech during the last speech day in my secondary school.
Back then, i could already tell that she was not a very well-liked teacher.
One instance, i really felt like taking my boot to her office, slam on her table, and tell her, you can do your job now… do what you do best… lick my boot.
But well, i guess that it wasn’t ‘my’ issue… until today.
Denying ex-students of the opportunity to help their juniors… wow. That’s extremely idiotic and i think that it goes to show how much she really ‘cares’ for the students there.
I feel disgusted when there is this reference to mrs rojak.
Apparently, she heads some language department… and is the reason why many of my teachers have chose not to stay (source: unknown)
I have no issues with her being a teacher but hey, you can only help with your language, so please, make the universal language more universal by speaking the same language as me.
The most weird thing is that when i sent her an email, expressing my concern… she chose not to reply me, and in fact felt that i was being rude. Well, my opinion is that if you don’t want to receive such nonsense, you have 2 options:
1. stop being nothing but nonsense
2. remove your email from the school portal. Once its up there, anybody can bloody view it, idiot.
Then i guess that the second in command in the school isn’t any much better.
They’ve turned my entire secondary school upside down… change… is what they claim… negative change, is what i see.
I am glad that i am no longer in Serangoon Secondary School now.
The Serangoon Secondary School that i know of… is taken along with the ex-principal when he left during my year…
I’ve been counting my blessings since then… that i am really lucky enough to not to have the current school management as the people who ‘manage’ me.
God knows what i will turn out to be… from a class that has done decently well in the creature’s language last year… failing now when the new thing took the head of that particular department.
Mrs Rojak, is one teacher whom i am glad that didn’t come in to my school in my year.
Mr Thanks, is also another one, whom i am extremely elated that i was never under his leadership.

It has been 3 weeks into the June holidays, and as we like to put it, what holidays?
I guess that every subject just hounds us down with never ending homework as if that’s the only subject we take.
Do that for every subject and it becomes very hectic for all of us here.
All these, plus lessons for the first week plus 2 more days. Hmmm… quite fun but i would say that its tiring… but we all know that its going to end soon.
The most important thing is to not lose focus now… not at this most important juncture.
As what our teachers tell us, we have worked hard for about 12 years or more for this exams at the end of the year.
Looking back, its quite true…
we have started this education journey at primary 1, and worked our way up to primary 6 and eventually to secondary school.
Just these 2 ‘stations’ alone has taken up 10 years (6 +4 ), for most of us. And now, it has been another 1.5 years and coming to 2 years, making the grand total, 12 years.
12 years… we either make it or break it at this milestone.
12 years… all our efforts will be tested this November
12 years… to show all that we’ve got in that one exam- the GCE ‘A’ Level exams.
Of course, we should always have a ‘marathon’ mindset.
We need breaks in between, and with friends, we celebrate our small successes one step at a time as we progress.
Just the other day, on the day after our last lessons, which is on the 6th june, my class had a class outing to pasir ris beach.
We sure had a good time relaxing and having fun… ended with a BBQ.
And sad thing, or maybe expected, our CT was not there with us. That’s quite a disappointment… cuz i figured that almost, i would say the entire, class was present.
And so, this is what the boys did, cracking coconuts at the beach… as what it somewhat expected
That was the entertainment for the week.
Following that week, we had a council chalet, which turned out to be a ‘games comm’ chalet after the second day.
We had managed to book the Keppel Bungalow
which was quite big i would say.
My entertainment was pretty much going for a dip in the pool, and a group of 5 night cycling on the first night.
For both days, i went bowling, each day with a different gang.
The first day was with the usual people, Wei Jun, Gerard, Olivia and Zhi Qing.
It was a ‘substitute’ activity for the K we were supposed to go to.
The second day was with my juniors, supposedly to be a ‘old group’ outing. But, in the end we just decided to call whoever wanna come along, since it can also be bonding with more people within the council.
Following that, we had dinner at whitesands for the second day at Madjack.
The service was horrible, not as if the food was anywhere greater. Definitely not a place to revisit.
Then we bought durian back to the chalet, 3 small packs i would say.
Then went for a quick dip in the pool, and rushed back up to watch tv, the channel 8 9o’clock show.
The next morning for the chalet, the boys prepared breakfast, not too bad i would say, at least we didn’t burn down the kitchen!
That was pretty much the entertainment i had for this holidays.
Of course, most of my time is still spent in school, trying to complete as much work as possible.
In the coming week, i guess that i should be going back to school everyday, except friday i guess.
Hope that we all won’t burn out!

June Break? What june break?
Just finished term 2 week 11 after a week in school, collecting back some exam scripts and going through some post-mortems…
its quite a bad sign i would say, judging by what there is now.
Also finished hypothesis testing for maths and it just doesn’t make sense… maybe everything is programmed into the GC now, it just don’t seem to have meaning.
And apparently, there’s no time to think too much for it, maybe that’s the reason why i don’t quite like Maths in JC. Not that its not useful, but perhaps it is too high level for me already.
Last Sunday, was supposed to meet up with mr tan at nex, but in the end, he was sick so he didn’t turn up. Had a quick bite at cafe cartel since we were there already.
I think i really ‘eat potato’ de.
The last time i went bowling was after chem MCQ paper that day, with Gerard, and its been a long time since i went bowling already, so i’m kind of like ‘forgetting’ how to play already .
When i was at nex another day, i felt that this place is really nice to take a portrait if i want to. It would be really nice, with the sky as the backdrop:
So holiday lessons started on Monday with the P rally, where they were talking about dreams and all those. We had 3 speakers, and the first one was our principal, followed by some alumni then some teacher in our college.
Then we went back to our homerooms and did something like this:
They were asking us what’s our dream….
Actually i felt that the session was a little too long. I would actually really rather have a shorter session and do more practical things towards better grades.
This Mid-years don’t reflect extra time for preparation and my grades so far are really like the thing in the toilet bowl.
To put things into context, this is the function for my physics results so far; i have to score 66/73 for paper 3 to score an A for the subject, which is quite impossible:

Even as we ended the week with an econs lecture in the morning… its already preparing us for the rest of the journey till A levels. I somehow appreciate it.
On hindsight, i love exams because right after that its the holidays. Right now, i’m having mixed feelings over the coming A levels. Part of me is happy because that would really put an end to the torturous studies, temporarily.
In addition, exams means shorter hours in school. What can beat that?

Mid years are over…. and that’s the beginning of our “holidays”.
I guess that for this mid-years, everything is very screwed up, so this month shall be used to brush up on every subject. I’m already looking at a packed first week schedule. This is very very sian.
But i guess that there are only 2 kinds of pain that we will experience
Either the pain of discipline, or the pain of regret
Anyways, there shouldn’t be anything good for this mid-years… and i’m speaking so because i know some of my results.
The worst part of this mid-years is that the Hougang By-election is held within this period of time as well.
Being suddenly interested in Politics, i went to listen to the first WP rally on the 19th may, the PAP rally on the 20th may and as well as the last rally of the PAP.
I should not discuss politics here.

Entering the worst exams ever for this mid-years.
I think that this set of exams seems to be the worst i’ve ever taken, not just in terms of the papers, but the preparation towards the exams as well.
A high stake exam, yet, we don’t quite seem to get the importance. Somehow… underestimating the whole exams..
i know that i’m gonna fail quite a number of it this time..
its quite sad, that at this juncture, we are still like this…
When I look at the questions, i see already also sian… i really don’t like maths, but not that i have a choice anyways.
Its important… Maths is important…
Then, also there is organic chemistry…
Its quite interesting… but at the same time boring. I mean, if you can remember everything then its fine.. but the thing is, i can’t.. i still need more time.. and i have started to go and remember, afterall, there’s not much time left to A levels.
Its also not very good also… quite bad in fact.
Really, sometimes see the paper also sian de that type…
but no choice…
i guess that all these would be ending soon.. and hopefully, this is what i would be looking forward to :
A day, with nice clouds, waiting for us to go out and play and just enjoy… shall dedicate time for that in June, apart from just studying in June.

Counting down to A levels… in 176 days.
This means that my days in SRJC are really numbered and i guess that i should blog about it again… least it slips my memory in the future.
So… what has happened so far since the last time i blogged….
Hmmm… i guess one very significant thing is that we have stepped down from council and now, its the 25th’s show.
No longer our show to run… but even as we stepped down, it was with greatest regret that i have done so. Just as we are so comfortable in council… we have to step down already…
this is really fast, and i guess this is what they mean when you should treasure your 2 years in JC. I guess that about 1.5 of our JC life has passed….
I know that i will miss this place in future… and actually, i think that 2 years is simply too short.
Somehow, should take a few more glimpses at this place, my second home.
Anyways, i remember this experiment we did the other time:
Was on gas collection and i guess the only time that we got to do it. And we literally threw the water out when we were done.
I remember, on this day as well, De yuan had a pipe that was burst or something like that
It was indeed an interesting sight.
I guess that physics lessons have always been so fun, and i really love the own time own target concept where we just bring our own revision book to do, and just consult on the spot if we have any questions.
Well, i guess that the fact that we can choose not to come to class is also good…. haha.
Physics has done a really good job.. and i can literally remember much of quantum physics now, during my revision:

Mainly for those whose birthday is in April…
Most notably, we have been studying in school 9pm nowadays.. it seems to be the norm. Usually together with Gerard, Wei Jun, Olivia and Zhi Qing.
I guess that we really stay till the school closes and we really have to go.
Now, we’re all chionging for the Mid years. I have adopted different studying techniques for most of my subjects… hope that the efforts pay off…
I guess that we all are awaiting the end of Mid years… because i already have post exam-celebration ideas in mind!
